Ben Johnston Intuitive Wisdom LLC provides professional therapeutic services, including:
These services are non-diagnostic and are not substitutes for medical or mental health care. Clients are encouraged to consult licensed medical providers for clinical diagnosis or treatment.
Therapeutic bodywork, including deep pressure, myofascial release, cupping, scraping tools, and shockwave/percussive techniques, may result in temporary physical responses such as:
These are common outcomes of therapeutic work designed to restore mobility and circulation.
Clients agree to communicate immediately if pressure is too much or if discomfort arises during the session so techniques can be modified.
Clients also acknowledge that physical activity, exercise, daily habits, hydration, and stress outside of the session may contribute to soreness or bruising. Ben Johnston Intuitive Wisdom LLC is not responsible for delayed-onset symptoms caused by external factors or failure to communicate during the session.
Any concerns following treatment should be reported so appropriate follow-up guidance can be provided.
Clients agree to:
Membership pricing applies only to eligible therapeutic massage services that are explicitly designated as “Members Only” at the time of booking.
Memberships are issued per individual client and may not be shared between spouses, partners, family members, or household members. One membership applies to one person only.
Eligible Membership Services
Membership pricing currently applies to the following services only:
• Members-Only 60-Minute Therapeutic Massage
All other services are excluded from membership pricing unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Excluded services include, but are not limited to:
• Non-member massage sessions
How Membership Credits Work
• When a membership payment processes, it creates one session credit (60 or 90 minutes, depending on the membership type)
Upgrades and Downgrades
• A 60-minute credit may be upgraded to a 90-minute session for $40
Therapist-Initiated Adjustments
If a session length must be changed due to therapist availability or scheduling limitations, the service may be adjusted and billed accordingly at the therapist’s discretion. Client-requested changes are subject to standard upgrade and downgrade policies.
Memberships for Minors
Memberships for clients under 18 years of age must be established and managed by a parent or legal guardian.
• The membership remains assigned to the minor as the sole recipient of services
Membership pricing does not guarantee appointment availability.
Payment is due at the time of service unless prepaid by membership credit.
Rates and policies are subject to change with notice.
• Cancellations must be made more than 6 hours before the scheduled session
All services are performed with explicit verbal and/or written consent.
Client Attire, Draping, and Clothing Adjustments
Clients are never asked to remove clothing during a session for the purpose of gaining therapeutic access to the body. All decisions to disrobe are client-directed and voluntary.
When clinically appropriate, professional draping materials such as towels or sheets may be used to request permission to temporarily lift or adjust clothing edges, bands, or straps. These adjustments are intended to protect clothing from oils and to support lymphatic, fascial, or structural work while maintaining coverage and client comfort.
Any clothing adjustment is:
• Explained in advance
Clients may remain fully clothed at all times. Declining clothing adjustments does not limit access to care; alternative techniques or positioning will be used.
Sensitive & Therapeutic Areas
Some therapeutic techniques may involve treatment near the breasts, chest wall, or groin/hip structures. These areas will never be touched or exposed without clear, explicit consent from the client.
When breast or chest wall work is performed (such as for post-surgical scar tissue, rib mobility, or pectoral/lymphatic restrictions):
• Draping will be adjusted only as needed for the specific therapeutic technique
Work near the inner thigh, inguinal ligament, and groin-adjacent regions may occur to address hip, core, pelvic, or lymphatic function. These areas will remain draped, and communication will be ongoing throughout.
Clients always retain the right to decline or withdraw consent for any technique, at any moment, without explanation.
The following tools may be integrated into sessions when beneficial and approved by the client:
• Inversion Table & Assisted Decompression
Clients may decline any tool at any time.
Structured Fascia-Focused Positional Work (Swedish Ladder)
Some advanced therapeutic techniques may use supportive equipment such as a Swedish ladder to assist with posture, leverage, and fascial release. Clients may be positioned in gentle stretches, rotations, or supported poses while soft tissue work is performed to optimize mobility and alignment.
This work is always performed with the client fully clothed in flexible, movement-appropriate attire. All positioning is optional, stable, and supported, with continuous communication and consent. Clients may request to stop or modify any technique at any time.
The ladder is used only as a supportive therapeutic tool and never to restrict movement or create discomfort beyond normal stretching sensation.
Inversion Table & Assisted Decompression
Some sessions may include the optional use of an inversion table or assisted partial inversion positioning to support decompression, fascial unloading, core relaxation, or nervous system regulation.
Use of the inversion table is always:
• Optional
• Brief and supervised
• Based on client comfort and expressed consent
• Used as a preparatory or supportive technique, not a required component of treatment
Clients will be verbally informed prior to any inversion or partial inversion positioning and may decline or discontinue use at any time without explanation.
The inversion table is not used for diagnosis or medical treatment and is not intended to replace clinical care. It is not appropriate for all individuals.
Clients agree to disclose any relevant medical history or conditions that may affect suitability, including but not limited to:
• Cardiovascular conditions
• Blood pressure concerns
• Vertigo or balance disorders
• Glaucoma or increased intraocular pressure
• Recent surgery, injury, or joint instability
• Pregnancy
Ben Johnston Intuitive Wisdom LLC reserves the right to modify, limit, or decline inversion table use based on professional judgment, safety considerations, or client presentation.
Clients acknowledge that temporary sensations such as lightheadedness, pressure changes, or increased body awareness may occur and agree to communicate immediately if any discomfort arises.
Minors (Clients Under 18 Years Old)
Therapeutic massage services for minors are limited to 60-minute or 90-minute sessions only.
A parent or legal guardian must:
After the first visit, the parent or guardian may choose to remain in the room or step outside based on the comfort of both the minor and the parent/guardian. If at any time the therapist or minor requests the parent or guardian return to the room, they must do so promptly.
All professional ethical boundaries apply at all times. Any concerns regarding safety, communication, or behavior may result in immediate termination of the session.
Ben Johnston Intuitive Wisdom LLC reserves the right to require a parent or legal guardian to remain in the room for any future session at the therapist’s discretion.
Personal and health information is protected and used only to provide safe care.
